Product Overview:

The Device Tracking System (DTS) provides telecommunications companies with an effective tool to track the physical location of communication devices, including pagers, video phones, cable converters, etc. DTS provides detailed tracking of the movement (issuing and returning) of all devices to and from suppliers, storage depots, sales offices, customers, and repair centers. Based on the just-in-time (JIT) principle, DTS combines physical movement with usage and repair statistics to provide replenishment forecasts and recommendations for stock transfers by category and physical location. Thus, DTS improves efficiency and reduces inventory carrying costs.

DTS consists of:

  • a Bar Coding Issue and Receiving Module;
  • an Inventory and Location Tracking Module;
  • an Inventory Requirement Forecast Module;
  • a Maintenance and Repair Tracking Module.
